Arizona Cardinals

 



The Arizona Cardinals are a professional American football team in the National Football Conference (NFC) West division. They play their home games at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. 

History: 

Founded in 1898 as the Morgan Athletic Club in Chicago

Joined the NFL in 1920 as the Chicago Cardinals

Moved to St. Louis in 1960

Moved to Phoenix in 1988, where they were known as the Phoenix Cardinals until 1994

Became the Arizona Cardinals in 1994

Achievements:

Won NFL championships in 1925 and 1947 

Came close to winning Super Bowl XLIII in 2009, but lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers 

Have 23 Pro Football Hall of Famers and 19 members in their Ring of Honor 

Challenges: 

As of 2024, the Cardinals have the longest active championship drought in North American sports

As of 2023, the Cardinals have recorded the most losses by a franchise in NFL history
